1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging Aurelius Group for immigration and residency services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you (the "Client") and Aurelius Group (the "Firm").
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not engage our services. Clients must be at least 18 years of age or have legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Services Description
Aurelius Group provides professional immigration consultation and application support services for Taiwan residency matters. Our services include preliminary evaluations, application processing assistance, and comprehensive legal immigration support as detailed in our service descriptions.
The scope of services for each engagement will be specified in a separate service agreement or engagement letter. Services are provided based on information and documents supplied by the client and current immigration regulations at the time of service delivery.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information relevant to their immigration matter.
Submit required documents in a timely manner as requested by the Firm.
Notify the Firm promptly of any changes in circumstances that may affect their application.
Respond to communications and information requests within reasonable timeframes.
Pay fees and expenses as agreed upon in the service agreement.
Comply with all applicable Taiwan immigration laws and regulations.
4. Fees and Payment
Service fees are established at the commencement of engagement and specified in writing. Fees are due as outlined in the service agreement and may be required in advance of service delivery.
In addition to service fees, clients are responsible for government filing fees, translation costs, document authentication expenses, and other third-party charges associated with their immigration matter. These expenses are separate from our professional fees.
Late payments may result in suspension of services. The Firm reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts as permitted by Taiwan law.
5. Service Limitations and Disclaimers
While we provide professional immigration consultation and application support, we cannot offer absolute assurance of application approval. Immigration decisions rest with Taiwan government authorities, who maintain discretion in evaluating applications.
Our services involve advising on immigration matters but do not constitute legal representation in court proceedings or other formal legal proceedings. For matters requiring court representation, we can refer you to qualified legal counsel.
Immigration regulations and policies may change. While we make reasonable efforts to stay informed of regulatory developments, we cannot be held responsible for changes in law or policy that occur after service delivery.
6. Confidentiality
The Firm maintains strict confidentiality regarding client information, subject to exceptions required by law or professional obligations. Our detailed confidentiality and data protection practices are outlined in our Privacy Policy.
Clients acknowledge that we may need to share their information with government agencies, translation services, and other third parties necessary for service delivery as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship by providing written notice. Upon termination:
The client remains responsible for fees for services rendered up to the termination date.
The Firm will return original documents provided by the client.
The Firm may retain copies of documents and work product for record-keeping purposes.
The Firm reserves the right to terminate services if the client fails to meet their obligations under this agreement or if continuing the engagement would violate professional standards.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Taiwan law, the Firm's liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the fees paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
The Firm is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages including lost opportunities, business interruption, or emotional distress, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Indemnification
Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Firm from claims arising from false or misleading information provided by the client, violation of immigration laws by the client, or failure of the client to comply with their obligations under these terms.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Taiwan, Republic of China. Any disputes arising from these terms or services provided will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Taipei, Taiwan.
Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
